Rumors in the Marc Jacobs world are always flying around. The latest one is saying that Marc is opening a restaurant, or a café. Partner Robert Duffy is looking for a space uptown and the menu already includes Marcaroni and cheese, honey buns, meatballs, or not? Time will tell.

Finally. Alexander Wang found a space for his first store. 103 Grand Street, right in the heart of Soho. I am guessing that the space will become beautiful with its large windows. I am curios about the interior and I know someone who will become a regular.

Ps: The space used to belong to Yohji Yamamoto and this is what it looks like today.

“I’m quite anti-consumerist; It’s difficult for me being a designer in an industry I don’t like. When I design a collection I find myself thinking, ‘Why do we need new clothes?’ I never think about the fashion people . . . They are not my concern.
Big breasts and lips. No! I hate those girls. I hate famous women. My ideal woman is Serge Gainsbourg. Not that he was a woman.”

UPDATE: More photos added..
Last night Acne opened up their first London store on Dover street. The studio (as they call it) is a house in the beautiful Mayfair. There’s a floor for denim, a floor each for the men’s and women’s collections, and a floor for footwear right at the very top. And if you happen to get tired after all those stairs, there’s even space for you to take a rest on a small outdoor terrace where they serve champagne. The store’s design pays tribute to the building’s former role as an art gallery. Think stark studio-style décor - white walls, Danish pine floors, Swedish concrete - and a huge number of works on display, including work from resident artists Jean Cocteau, Jeremiah Goodman and Katerina Jebb.
Interview With Jonny Johansson.
I am very excited about this and really want to visit the store soon..
