Chloé Baylee

You have to watch this video, I’m amazed. How they dance and show of the bags, brilliant and so so beautiful. The Nina Ricci Ballet bags are the perfect size and the design is classic and elegant. My favorite is this wool one.

A pair of Céline heels has been on my wish list for a long time now. I never find them in real though. These two from the fall collection are pure perfection, as always with Céline heels.

Interview with Anna Rolfsdotter Jewelry

It’s not often that I fall in love with jewelry. They have to be unique, suit for everyday and stand out. Still, they have to be delicate. Anna Rolfsdotter jewelry is just this, perfect in every way. I love my hoop earrings and I can’t wait to get a necklace. I’m also happy to give you an interview with the designer herself.

Tell us about your jewelery? They are so Beautiful and delicate. How did they come to mind and where do you find inspiration?

First off, thank you for the kind complement! To begin with, I have always made jewelry as far back as I can remember, but it was not until I moved to London to study my degree that I really began creating.  While living in that vast and fascinating city, I found myself always searching for thin and delicate pieces of jewelry, but with little success, so I decided instead to make what it was I was trying to find. While studying anthropology and human behavior, my interests have mainly focused on how humans express themselves through various art and culture forms. I draw my inspiration from these different forms that can either come from particular works of art, or even a certain dance movement that expresses a particular cultural.

Furthermore, what I think is unique about Anna Rolfsdotter Jewelry, is that apart from the collection that is already made, I also fit to desire. Meaning, if a customer is after a certain piece from the collection, but in a different color or wants something completely unique, a kind of one off, we have a meeting where some ideas are offered and together decide the desired fit for the customer. I love working this way, because it really enables a more unique creativity and has also allowed more one off pieces to be made, for either brides to be or or for presents from guys who want to give a special one off piece to their partners. What piece are you favorite for spring, summer, fall winter?

My absolute favorite piece of jewelry is probably the very first piece that I made over 7 years ago and is still one that I continue to use almost daily, which is the large Smokey Quartz Briolette Necklace. and the second is the Hoop Earrings. The Hoop Earrings in smokey quartz, I absolutely love, because you can wear them any time of year and they are a perfect accessory. But also, you can buy add ons to them, and so switch the smokey quartz to coral if you would like them to be a bit more summery or even add on so that you have two stones on each earring. The smokey quartz and the Pink Chalcedony are really lovely together. What’s a must both clothingwise and accessories in the closet?

A must clothing piece, I have to say that instead of clothing, I am leaning more towards saying finding the perfect shoe. Because, clothes can look absolutely great, but what can really drag down what you are wearing are the shoes. At the moment I am loving my black Toms. Accessory wise, I have to say hats of different kinds. I love hats, because some of them you can wear year round and they show off a certain kind of confidence and elegance. Hats also remind me of a time when people put a little bit more effort into how they were dressed.

What are you reading at the moment and what music are you listening to?

At the moment I am reading Kate Mosse latest book, a historical fiction called Citadel. Music that I have been listening to varies a bit, it can be all from The Thunderbolt Revival, Fela Kuti, Ludovico Einaudi, to Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines. What’s your favorite jewelery piece?

My absolute favorite piece of jewery is probably the very first piece I made over 7years ago is still one that I continue to use almost daily, which is the large Smokey Quartz Briolette Necklace.

If your’e not a jewelry person, and just want to wear one piece. What should you go for and why?

If you are not a jewelry person but still would like one piece, I would say to go for a pair of earrings. Probably a pair of smaller ones, because they are not in the way as one might perhaps feel about a necklace or bracelet and they can just add that little extra to whatever one decides to wear.

FALL 2013 COUTURE Chanel Jewels

So, stacking up rings has been a trend for some time now and perhaps that’s why I’m a bit surprised that Chanel followed that trend for their fall couture collection. Although, I must say, wow! It’s super gorgeous and very Repossi like. I love it. More about the clothes later.

I’ve been eyeing for a pair of new sunglasses for a while now, for everyday use. And I finally find the perfect pair by Warby Parker. Not only do they have so many great styles for a really good price, they also help those in need. By buying a pair you also give a pair to someone in need of glasses. Please do me a favor and watch this video.

My new sunglasses paired with my new Isabel Marant earrings. An extra plus for their beautiful store on Greene street and the cool packaging.

New York is treating me well, especially when you find this gorgeous bag at 60 % of at Barneys.
