It comes as no surprise that Louis Vuitton is continuing their collaboration with Sofia Coppola, the bags are simply perfection. For fall 2010 she designed a new sized day bag, along with the existing designs in several new colors, like this brown one. Beautiful.
I love Repetto and I love their idea of a 60th Anniversary. Different kind of celeberties designed show which will be auctioned in October, with money raised going to the Repetto Foundation and UNESCO’s “Danse pour la vie,” which gives money to international dance and ballet school.

Super Saturday pt. 2 will be up ASAP. I am heading back to NYC in about an hour and then will be able to start writing about and posting pics from Super Saturday -the celeb sightings, the superb sales, and the contents of the legendary goodie bag. For now I’ll say my fave goodie bag item was Essie nailpolish -pics soon! xo
The ring I got from Acne this season is now available online.
I remember in my younger days wearing a pair of red sneakers. These red sneakers were my everything, untill one day they got to small and I could not wear them anymore. I tried to find a similiar pair of red sneaker. However, nothing could come close to those perfect red ones, which were super comfortable and so cool. These were a pair of New Balance sneakers. I wore them even when they got to small, untill my mom took them away from me. Then, as you do in your younger days, I forgot about them, untill now, or a couple of months ago. I started seeing New Balance sneakers here and there, both in Gothenburg and New York. I remember that I thought to myself, why are only boys wearing them? I want a pair. Then I saw this editorial in Cover, a pair of New Balance sneaks in this perfect beige tone paired with a greige Rick Owens dress. Then I knew, I had to have them again and show everyone that this is the shoe to wear.
Not only is the New Balance sneaker super comfortable. They are also cool and handsome. I got the privliged to visit their showroom and I must say, I fell in love. So many perfect colors, and styles. I was blown away. Then Jan started to tell me about New Balance’s story and I was sold.
New Balance is the world’s fifth largest sportscompany. New Balance is still privatly owned by the family Davies from Boston. This to me is beautiful. They are all about fair trade using animal friendly materials. It seems like every shoe is made out of love in the fabric, Flimby, Cumbria in North West England. If you are interested in how a shoe is made, from scratch I suggest you watch this video. How amazing is it that they are still made with hands of great men.
New Balance was founded in 1906 by William J. Riley. From the start it was about creating a sports shoe with balance, a triangle, with three points of support. William had a chicken’s foot on his office desk to demonstrate how this would work. He sais that a chicken’s foot had the best shape with their three clawed foot which resulted in perfect balance.
New Balance makes all kind of sportshoes (which I honestly do not know alot about). However, I love their 420 style and I am very happy over the fact that I am wearing them again. I can pair them with my Helmut Lang leather trousers, or a simple Alexander Wang dress, or why not a crazy Marc Jacobs dress. These shoes are not only comfortable/magical, they are hot, trust me, and they go perfectly with everything. So please girls, get a pair of New Balance, you wont regret it. I both danced, and took long walks in mine.
Ps: Do not forget that you are also smart and nice to your feet if you choose to wear New Balance. You contribute to both fair trade and animal rights.
