Dsquared’s fall 2010 is very sexy with leather and red as a hot color. Some looks are really vampy and cool.

Then for something more classic with Alessandro Dell’Acqua’s No. 21. Feminin and beige, two strong combinations. I like the hot pink as a detail.

Alberta Ferretti is always beautiful. For fall 2010 she stays true to her femininity and soft colors, almost like a modern angel.

Bottega Veneta is always a favorite of mine, I love their power woman look. For fall 2010 Bottega Veneta thoughen up a bit with strong leather looks. A more modern approach.

I feel like Peter Dundas for Pucci is a bit incoherent. Every piece is different. However, some looks are ok for example the long skirts.

Frida Giannini said backstage that she grew up for fall 2010, the collection is more muture for a more muture woman. The collection feels relaxed and a bit soft for Gucci wich I like. A very interesting collection for Gucci with white and greige tones.

Last but not least, Max Mara. I always think about my mom when it comes to Max Mara, probably because it is her style. For fall 2010 we saw alot of strong wool looks and beautiful outwear.

Milan Fashion Week, Jil Sander

Posted by Marina Milojkovic Feb, 2010 at 12:47 under Collections

During fashion weeks there are some shows I always look forward to the most, Raf Simons for Jil Sander is one of them. Raf Simons has that ability to make the most simple piece into something you have never seen before and that is what I call magic. For fall 2010 Raf Simons started by looking into the archives of Jil Sander. Something I love about Raf Simons is that he always stays true to his aesthetics, you know what you will get from him. I was a bit surprised when I saw the plaid coming down the runway last night. Then when I realized that plaid was one of the first material Jil herself presented I understood. The plaid to me is beautiful and very interesting.

Then for a more modern inspiration Raf Simons turned to Lara Croft: Tomb Raider wich also was the soundtrack for the show. Models walked down the runway looking like Lara Croft in though jackets, sheer shorts, bodysuits, tailored catsuits, and formfitting coats, mostly in black. Here is a video of the collection.

My love for Jil Sander is only getting stronger and I wish I was the woman who only dresses in Jil Sander. The fall 2010 bags are simply to die for.

Milan Fashion Week, Prada

Posted by Marina Milojkovic Feb, 2010 at 7:34 under Collections

They all say that Miuccia Prada knows what women wants. I do not know if it is because I am to young or it is not my style, I simply can not see this. Over the past couple of seasons Miuccia has dissapointed me. At first Prada was unique and in some way she still is. However, she is looking more and more like Marc Jacobs and the 50/60’s references is no longer interesting. We know what Miuccia Prada can do, she can dress women in a cool but sexy way. I must say that sex is more and more visible with Prada. The fall 2010 collection is all about the boobs and a couple of seasons ago it was all about the crotch with those thigh high boots and short jackets.
Here is a video of the Mad Men inspired collection. A lot of colors and cute dresses paired with chunky knitted knee-socks. Although I do not like the leather pieces wich looks almost like latex I do like the knitted pieces and the black detailed pieces. The collection is interesting, not saying I do not love or hate it. Another interesting part about the collection is the model cast. Miuccia Prada had Victoria’s Secret regulars like Doutzen Kroes, Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Bianca Balti walked down the runway.

CLOGS

Posted by Marina Milojkovic Feb, 2010 at 10:43 under Accessories

I love my mom to death, and her style is beautiful. The older I get I take more and more inspiration from her. A year ago I hated beige, and she loves it, so do I now. However, three summers ago she bought a pair of brown clogs in leather and wood from Ash and I was like, what? Since then she wears them every summer and they are so comfortable, at least she says. It is funny to me how clogs are the next big it shoe and I guess my mom was right when she said that they are great. Hopefully she will find a new pair this summer when it seems like they are everywhere, at least every fashion blogger blogs about them.
