Together with Acne Studios, Luis Venegas Editor in Chief of Candy Magazine has created a collection of three shirts. Working on the idea of a classic western shirt, but playing with detail and proportion, the end result is a fun take on masculine versus feminine.

While every other Swedish brand showed their collection for summer 2011, Acne is keeping us waiting, untill London Fashion Week. However, some people have the luck to visit their showrooms (guess I am heading up to Stockholm soon), both in Stockholm and Paris for a preview of the pre summer 2011 collection.
Kerstin visited the Paris showroom and I must say that this is one of the most beautiful dresses ever, the fall, the fit, magical.

Last night Acne opened up their first London store on Dover street. The studio (as they call it) is a house in the beautiful Mayfair. There’s a floor for denim, a floor each for the men’s and women’s collections, and a floor for footwear right at the very top. And if you happen to get tired after all those stairs, there’s even space for you to take a rest on a small outdoor terrace where they serve champagne. The store’s design pays tribute to the building’s former role as an art gallery. Think stark studio-style décor - white walls, Danish pine floors, Swedish concrete - and a huge number of works on display, including work from resident artists Jean Cocteau, Jeremiah Goodman and Katerina Jebb.
