Couture week is here, finally. I love it. John Galliano is inspired by the flower for his couture collection for Christian Dior. Part of his research involved studying real flowers, spending an hour watching the light change on a parrot tulip, for instance. The colors, the shapes, it is all so magical and beautiful.

To me couture is beautiful creations, art, and this is not. Many are amazed by Margiela, and so am I in some way. However, this is not enough to me. The shapes are of course interesting. The collection is very beige and brown, with plenty of fur and leather. Perhaps a little cowboy inspired?

Ah, Givenchy, Givenchy. Ricardo Tisci, I love you. This is couture collection so beautiful. I have no words, it is breathtaking. The simpleness meets the extravagant.

Whatever is going on with the house of Margiela they manage to design a really good resort collection for 2011. I want to wear these looks. The red with the beige is beautiful and so are the black sheer pieces. I love how simple is it is, and wearable. A good pair of trousers or a good skirt makes an outfit perfect.

“It’s about the fabrics, the fit, and how the clothes feel on the body,” The Olsen twin Mary-Kate said about their label, The Row. That is what makes me love it. There is both silk and cashmere in this collection which to me is beautiful. The loose styling with feminine cuts is just brilliant.

Crazy layering with Vivienne Westwood, lovely.

John Galliano was inspired by equestrians for his Fall 2010 show for Christan Dior. The collection is almost to beautiful, close to almost to powerfull. This is for sure, magical.

Alber Elbaz for Lanvin, not one of my favorites. However, the fall collection is beautiful. The reason why I do not like Albers design is the colors, the over the top feeling of it. For fall he became a bit architectural and simple. The colors are earthy, beige, red, brown black, grey wich is beautiful. A very beautiful and strong collection I must say. I also like the african vibe of it with the feathers and jewelry.

Martin has left the Maison. However, his aesthetics are there. Whoever is designing for fall 2010 is doing a good job. Black and red are beautiful together and so is this collection. Classical.

This is really when fashion becomes art, for me at least. Maison Martin Margiela, without Martin are crazy yet unique and beautiful when it comes to couture. This collection made me think of death and rebirth. Red, black and white.

Maison Martin Margiela keeps on being crazy and you can just love it.

I really love the shapes of the Chanel Couture dresses.

Riccardo Tisc’s Couture collection for Givenchy showed an hour late. However, that does not matter. The collection is magic and inspired by the middle east. I love it.
