Men’s Fashion Week, Louis Vuitton, YSL, Balmain, CDG, Dries Van Noten, Givenchy, Hermés, Kris Van Assche, Raf Simons, Rick Owens
Posted by Marina Milojkovic Jun, 2010 at 9:55 under CollectionsThis is by far one of my favorite men’s collections ever. Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton. The collection it self is just perfect for a man. Strong tailored pieces paired with everyday pieces, simple meets structured. The colors are warm, and earthy. Beige, White, Greige, Blue and green are some of the colors. Every look is beautiful. Marc Jacobs also teamed up with New York based tattoo-artist Scott Campbell for some tattoos on the models and bags for spring 2011. Although I love the magical collection I do not like the costumized leather bags by Scott.
Yves Saint Laurent just like Louis Vuitton used colors like black, beige and greige for spring 2011. However, this collection is much more minimal with big suits and feminine inspired pieces.
Modern rock’n roll with Balmain.
Comme des Garcons presented a well dressed punk goth boy for spring 2011.
An 80’s inspired collection by lovely Dries Van Noten. I love the pollock splashes. Beautiful collection.
If you ask Givenchy the leopard pattern is huge for spring 2011 (love). Ricardo Tisci paired this with tight fits and colors like black, white and beige. Cool, the leopard bomber jacket is awsome.
A beautifull light and basic collection by Hermés. Also a favorite.
I love greige!!! Here seen on pieces by Kris Van Assche.
Raf Simons became very avantgarde for his spring 2011 collection. Proportions and volume is questioned.. very interesting.
Rick Owens, the one who creates art by his interesting design ideas. Are the pieces wearble? Do men want to look like modern nunes? Well, I am not the man to decide that. However, they are beautiful. And he is a one of a kind master.
